1. Description
--------------

I really didn't like Oblivions UI so I was happy when
BTMOD was released, but I wasn't quite happy with it
either. So, I decide to make my own User Interface mod.

The main thing I didn't like about BTMOD was the extremely
large inventory lists. I want normal sized item icons!

The Major difference between this mod and other UI mods
is that all the icons in item lists are full size, which
also means that they do not contain 16+ items per page
but instead around 10 (which still is a good improvement
over normal Oblivion).

If you want larger lists i suggest you download some of
the other great UI mods that's out there.

Some of the main features over normal Oblivion are:
* More detailed Attribute and Skills status screens.
Shows Base, Mod and Total values.
* Inventory window is larger and shows more items
per page with less wasted space. Smaller font.
Easier to see count number of each item.
* Magic window is larger and shows more items per
  page.
* Large world and local map views.
* Larger quest view window and smaller text.
* Containers and shop windows are larger and show
  more items.
* Repair/Ingredient/Spell buy windows show more
  items per page.
* HUD using smaller fonts and text shadows. Magic
effect icons show only numbers, no bars.
* HUD Info centered under the crosshair instead
of in the lower right corner.

Check the screenshots for more info about what has
been changed.

2. Version History
------------------

[Version 1.12 - 7th of June 2006]
* Fixed bug with action icons where they did not fade out
when you for example talk to someone. Maybe I should
check to see that everything works as it should before I
release a new version next time... *sigh*

[Version 1.11 - 6th of June 2006]
* Decided to include a standard version of hud_info_menu.xml
that isn't centered under the cursor.
* Fixed so that you can change the alpha of text in standard
hud_info_menu.xml as well. Added some other options to
  mj_ui_config.xml.
* You can now set if the crosshair is to be shown when sneaking
in mj_ui_config.xml as well as action icon alpha.
* Fixed problem with stats_menu.xml where the base and
mod values for some of the first attributes did not fade
  correctly.

[Version 1.1 - 3rd of June 2006]
* Increased compatibility with BTMOD.
* Renamed ui_config.xml to mj_ui_config.xml and added more
  various settings.
* Fixed a bug in repair_menu.xml, when an item got disabled
the count text also became transparent which looked
  strange with shadow.
* Improved hud_info_menu_centered.xml, better centering
of icons. Centered menu is now the default menu.
* Item repair menu, reduced width of columns and
fixed wrap width of item name.
* Enchantment item select menu: Removed item health column.
* Ingredient select menu: Added ingredient weight
display. Can be turned off in mj_ui_config.xml.
* Alchemy menu: Smaller font.
* Enchantment menu: Smaller fonts, more known magical
  effects per page.
* Spellmaking menu: More known magical effects per page.
* Sigil stone menu: Smaller fonts.
* It's now possible to scale the map icons via mj_ui_config.xml
* It's now possible to turn off the next rank display on the
  factions page in mj_ui_config.xml
* Spells menu: Smaller fonts.
* HUD menu: When magical effects has a time left of over
999 seconds, the time text is hidden.
* Fixed problem with compass background flickering/flashing
when scrolling through items in the inventory.
* Made crosshair hidden while you are sneaking. I always
thought it was hard to aim and see when you had both
the crosshair and sneaking eye icon visible while
  sneaking.
* Fixed location of player location arrow on world map, it
  was at the wrong location.
* Added an icon on the HUD that appears when the health of
your wielded weapon is 25 or lower.

[Version 1.0 - 13th of May 2006]
* First released version.

3. Installation
---------------

You should first remove any UI mods you have. Or if you
already have a menus folder in your data folder you can
just rename that folder.

Extract with folders intact in your Oblivion data folder.

There is a non centered HUD Info menu available for those
that doesn't like the centered version. Rename
hud_info_menu.xml to hud_info_menu_centered.xml and rename
hud_info_menu_standard.xml to hud_info_menu.xml to use
it.

You can also change some settings like text color in
the file mj_ui_config.xml located in menus\prefabs\.

4. Uninstallation
-----------------

Remove all the files.

5. Notes
--------

* Using With other UI mods *
You can mix the xml-files from other UI mods with this mod.
For example if you want just the status portion of this mod
and the rest from BTMOD. Just make sure you include the config
files for BOTH mods. For my mod the file is mj_ui_config.xml
and it's located in menus\prefabs\. For BTMOD all files in
the folder UI_Config (include the folder as well) also
located in menus\prefabs\.

You should be able to mix with other UI mods as well, but
you'll have to work out the specifics yourself.

MajorJim's UI was created by MajorJim. I used BTMOD sometimes
for help and as a base when modifying some files, so thanks
to the BTMOD creators Beider & Tikigod. Thanks to DarN for
some help of how to properly center the HUD Info menu.

Mail me at MajorJimMods@gmail.com if you have any
suggestions/ideas/bugs you want to tell me about.

You may modify this mod anyway you want as long as you
don't charge money for it... giving me credit would also
be nice.

Bye!
